Registration FAQ

Q. What's the age limit for children?
A. The age limit for children is under 15 at the time of Manifest (Friday 16th August 2013). If you turn 15 on that day or before that day, you need to buy an adult ticket. If you haven't, you need to buy a child ticket and have a guardian who is 18 years or older with you at all times. Children 7 and under are free with a supervising adult.

A. During our peak periods we sometimes have a delay in answering emails due to the volume of emails we receive. If you do not receive an email after 3 days, please send us a reminder email and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Q. Where is registration located on the day?
A. This information will be updated once it is finalized. Please keep an eye on the news posts on the front page.

Q. I don't want to pay for postage for my tickets; what options do I have?
A. Tickets can be purchased at Mani-Meets, other pop-culture events (such as Supanova or AVCon) and certain retail outlets (to be confirmed).

Q. Why do Manifest check ID?
A. As many of our screenings/events have an M or MA rating, Classification Australia requires us to check ID to ensure that only the appropriate audience is present. Many of these checks are done on a case by case basis, particularly if you appear to be in your early teens and are unsupervised.

Events that are rated R will have a mandatory ID check; if you do not have your ID on you, you will not be allowed to enter the area in which the screenings/events are occurring. This is non-negotiable under any circumstances.

Please note that ID checks have always been a part of Manifest, and that any Manifest personnel has the right, during the three (3) days of the event, to check your ID.

Q. Why are there long queues for some events/activities?
A. There are a number of activities that are very popular and that have limited seating availability. We try to get though queues as quickly as practically possible. 'Gold Pass' holders receive priority queueing and seating for many events; check the store for more information.

Q. What ways can I purchase my tickets for Manifest?
A. There are four (4) ways that you can purchase tickets this year:

  • Pre-registration via our online store.
  • Pre-registration via a Mani-Meet that has been advertised to sell tickets.
  • Pre-registration via selected outlets selling Manifest tickets.
  • On the day at a registration booth.

Q. Are tickets / passes being sent out this year?
A. Yes, passes will be sent out this year. This process will typically begin around June.

Q. Can I purchase a pass on the Friday for another day of Manifest?
A. Yes you can, simply purchase your ticket at a registration booth.

Q. What ways can I pay for your ticket online?
A. You can pay with money orders, cheques, direct deposit and PayPal (including credit cards).

Q. Can I purchase a ticket on a day of Manifest?
A. Yes you can, we will have registration booths selling tickets on the day.

Q. What happens if I can no longer go to Manifest?
A. In general, Manifest does not do refunds or exchanges on tickets, however does take exceptional circumstances into consideration. A $10 processing fee does apply to all refunds / exchanges as per our refunds and exchanges policy.

Q. I have received a press, trader, school or other ticket / pass for Manifest; can I get a refund?

Q. I have purchased a Saturday ticket but now I can only go on Sunday; is there any way to change my ticket?
